Global Warming : How to Make Others Care

Nowadays, global warming has been one of the hottest issues. We have witnessed so many phenomenon as the result of this issue such as the melting of ice in the North and South Pole, the increase in average temperature, and the disorder of climate and weather. The impact of global warming has truly caused many problems around the globe, and right now, it should be the time for all of us to take serious actions on this matter. Unfortunately, most people fail to understand how pressing this issue is, so they tend to ignore it, and they keep getting busy with their own business. So how do we reach them? In my opinion, there are three effective ways to make people consider and notice about the importance of preventing global warming; through mass media, organization, and ourselves.





Newspapers as print media

Mass media is one nice solution to promote about the prevention of global warming. With broad access and vast range, mass media has been one of the best tools to spread the news about global warming. For example, many electronic medias such as television, radio, and internet have issued a lot of stimulus for public to concern more about the environment. In addition, print medias such as newspapers and magazines also participate in persuading people to give more attention to mother earth.



Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation



Organization is another way to promote about the prevention of global warming. Since the issue of global warming has risen, the number of organizations that are concerned about it have increased sharply. These organizations may help to raise people’s awareness towards global warming and invite them to join in preserving nature. For example, Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, which is involved in humanitarian activities, issues reforestation and green lifestyle. With plantation, the amount of trees and plants will increase, and this would help to reduce greenhouse gases.

Ourselves is the last but not the least method to promote about the prevention of global warming. We start from our own life, our own neighborhood, and our own environment. We walk instead of driving cars, switch off unused electronic appliances, grow some plants, and so on. By doing so, we could be a role model for people around us. They might get the message that our earth is in need of help, and it is up to all of us to keep it from destruction.

To sum up, mass media, organization, and ourselves are the best ways in promoting the preventive actions against global warming towards people. It might sound difficult, but it is not impossible. Let us start to concern more about our surrounding. It is not too late to fix the environment and save our earth.
